Several abandoned dogs in an east Hamilton home have been surrendered to an animal rescue weeks after their owners were evicted from the property and left them behind. The Highland Avenue home where the dogs were left has been a point of contention for the Crown Point East neighbourhood. Representatives from the Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission are opening up about a persistent problem in hopes members of the community will step forward to assist with funds needed for a more permanent solution. Vigo courtroom temporarily closed for bedbug fumigation | Local News

Courtroom 5 in the Vigo County Courthouse got a rare weekday off  Tuesday, when it was closed to be fumigated for bedbugs. “We found two in there, and they were both dead,” reported Tommy Roberts, Vigo County maintenance supervisor. “But we don’t take any chances.
